Nivada Grenchen Depthmaster Jellyfish x Seconde/Seconde

If you like your watches a little less on the serious-side, and you've not heard of Seconde/Seconde, then you're absolutely missing out on one of the coolest artists and creators in modern watchmaking. Romaric and his brand Seconde/Seconde have gained quite a lot of notoriety in the past couple of years for their fun and sometimes daring takes on vintage watches, and have also recently moved into collaborations with watch brands such as Massena LAB, Moser, Louis Erard and now Nivada Grenchen. These super-fun seconds hands may not be for everyone, but we absolutely adore them. So much so, that we own two Seconde Seconde modified pieces ourselves, and have no doubt there'll be a few more in the future as well!

As noted, the watch we have here is a collaboration with Nivada, and it's mega. The vintage Depthmaster Jellyfish is often referred to as the Pac-Man due to the shape and font of the 3-6-9 markers, and in late 2020 this was was updated and re-issued for the modern era. Playing on that Pac-Man theme, the seconds hand was replaced with a Pac-Man-esque Jellyfish bye Seconde Seconde, and makes a playful watch even more fun.

This amazing dial is mounted within a 39mm steel case with 1000 metres of water resistance, and that wears very much alike a baby-Panerai. It's topped with a steel uni-directional dive bezel, and is powered by the Sellita SW200 movement. It's mounted to the brilliant Tropical rubber strap with quick release springbars and steel tang buckle.

This particular piece was purchased in December 2021 and presents in TZ Mint condition, with only the lightest hint of any use. Please see images for full condition details.
