Laco Napa Limited Edition California Dial 42mm

Much like DEKLA and Nomos, Laco are yet another brand that proves the best value watchmaking right now comes out of Germany. In business since 1925, Laco made a name for themselves by specialising in flight watches, and continue that tradition today.

The piece we have here is known as the Napa California, and was released in 2022 in a limited series of 100 pieces. Utilising Laco's classic 42mm case in steel, it houses a California dial, with the upper half of the dial featuring numerals in Roman, and the lower half in Arabics. These are printed onto a stark white dial, with a blued railroad minute track, and blue surrounds for the markers to match the blued hands. Powering it is Sellita-based automatic movement for easy servicing and reliability, and it's finished off with handmade suede strap on steel tang buckle.

This example was first sold in 2022 and presents in TZ 'Good' condition. The case and bezel is largely free of any marks, other than the lightest of rub marks on the bezel, and some strap change marks on the lugs. There's a extremely small scrape at the edge of the bezel near 6, and a tiny nick on the upper right bevel line, which is the reason for the 'Good' rather than 'Near Mint' grading according to the TZ scale. No service history, but far too new for that. Currently keeping COSC time at 300+ degrees of amplitude.
