Magraph by Massena LAB and Raúl Pagès

The first collaboration piece from Massena LAB and Raúl Pagès, the Magraph continues to push forward the brand established by William Massena in 2019, and is a milestone piece for the company with the introduction of their new M660 in-house movement.

Created in conjunction with Raúl Pagès, and extremely talented Swiss watchmaker best known for his Régulateur à Détente RP1 watch, as well as his unbelievable automatons such as the White Gold Turtle (if you've never seen this, it's definitely worth looking up), Raúl designed the architecture of the M660 and determined the finishing techniques to be used, with his signature 'poinçon Pagès' turtle motif visible near the balance. A very cool touch. The finishing is spectacular for a watch at this price point, with delicate Côtes de Genève finishing and hand-chamfered anglage on its plates and bridges. Along with the lovely finishing, it also features a beautiful winding action and strong 60 hour power reserve. It truly is a spectacular movement to behold, especially at this price point.

The movement is housed in a perfectly sized and beautifully proportioned 38.5mm 316l stainless steel case, and houses a classic sector dial modelled of the piece unique Patek 96-based 'Margraf' from the 30's, hence the name. The dial is a subtle off-white, with circular grained outer ring, radially grooved sub-seconds ring, and is topped with blued hands that seem to glow against the dial.

To finish it off, it's mounted to a lovely Sturgeon strap from Jean Rousseau, and also includes a second OEM leather strap.

This piece was originally delivered in January 2023 and presents in TZ 'Good' condition. The case is very clean overall, with a rub scuff on the upper right lug, and some minor hairlines. Brushed surfaces are almost spotless. The reason for the 'Good' rather than 'Excellent' on the TZ scale is the presence of some very small dings/nicks on the bevel lines.
