Patek Philippe Calatrava Pilot Travel Time Blue Dial 7234G-001

The Calatrava Pilot watch was first introduced in 2015, and stirred up quite the controversy as it was unlike any Patek that had come before it. However, with it's strong classical Pilot Watch styling, mixed with Patek craftsmanship and with an extremely useful and intuitive dual time complication, it quickly became a hit with collectors. Pilot's watches are usually oversized, so releasing it in a 42mm case size was historically correct, however this larger size was an issue for a lot of folks and so in 2018 Patek released the 7234 series. The same watch, but brought down to 37.5mm. Those of smaller wrists, rejoice.

This particular reference is the 7234G, and was introduced in 2020. The case measures in at 37.5mm x 45.5mm lug-to-lug and 11mm thick and is crafted in white gold. The left side of the case features two lockable pushers to advance the hour hand either way, and in combiination with its screwdown caseback it endows it with 60m of water resistance.

Housed within this magnificent case is a grained flat blue dial with large, pilot-style Arabic numerals in white gold and heavily lumed. This is then topped with blued cathedral hands for hours and minutes, and a radial date at 6.

Powering it is the Geneva-sealed in-house automatic calibre 324, available only in the earlier production of the 7234G, and it's finished off with a blue Patek calfsking strap with cross-stitching in a short size, and a beautiful white gold counter-weighted Patek Pilot tang buckle.

This particular example was first sold locally in 2021 and presents in TZ Good condition. Has been worn regularly, and the case shows swirls and hairlines throughout. There's also some very minor scraping on the outer edge of the bezel, as well as some small dings on the tops of the lugs and bezel,  which is the reason for the 'Good' rather than 'Very Good' grading. The strap is in superb condition, and the buckle shows desk diving marks. It remains unpolished. Please see images for full condition details.

No service history, but a bit young for that. Keeping COSC time and all functions operating as they should.

Comes with shipping box, outer box, inner box, booklet holder, booklets, Certificate of Origin dated September 2021, and hang tags. Does not have the corrector pin.
