Rolex Milgauss 1019 - 1984.

One of the most sought after vintage steel Rolex's, the 1019 is growing in popularity by the day it seems.

This particular example could do with some attention in a few areas as detailed below, and is priced accordingly. Am tempted to send it into RSC for a full service and potential dial swap to create what would essentially be a brand new 1019, but thought we'd offer it up to the market first for anyone chasing a lovely looking Milgauss without the extreme price tag excellent examples are now fetching.

Case is in very good vintage condition. Lugs are very thick and even, with clear numbers showing between them.

Dial is original with nice patina. Shows some drag marks from the hour hand which has caused partial peeling of the MILGAUSS text. Hands are original, missing some of the lume. These could be re-filled and matched to the tritium dial plots, or replaced with NOS hands - thought I'd leave that up to the buyer instead of making the decision for them. Some of the flaked tritium is sitting under the glass.

Caseback is original, stamped 1019 inside and stamped II.67, this is correct for later production Milgauss and assumption is Rolex was using up leftover casebacks during this time. X spring is original and present.

Movement is a 1570. Unsure why it is stamped as a 1570 instead of 1580, but possibly because it was either replaced at some stage or potentially due to lack of movement availability.

Bracelet is a Rolex 78360 with 13 links and 580 endlinks. S DE date code. Very tight condition.

Unknown service history. Winds smoothly. Running at +16 seconds per day at 284 degrees of amplitude.
