Breitling Top Time Reference 810

Created to attract a youthful new audience to Breitling, the Top Time series was launched in the 60's with a range of different dials, case sizes and movements. The reference 810 we have here is one of our favourites within the range, and has long been desired amongst vintage Breitling collectors due to its combination of classic three register looks, modern sizing, excellent proportions and robust movements.

This example is quite specials as it features a rarely seen Decimeter scale surrounding its original tritium dial, which presents in very good condition. There are some light marks around the dial, particularly within the Decimeter scale, and the tritium plots are largely missing. What is remaining all glows under UV light, with tritium speckles present elsewhere on the dial. The hands are from a MK2, and also glow under UV, lighting up and falling off at the same rate as the remainder of the plots.

The 38mm steel case is in lovely condition, with a Portuguese hallmark present on the upper left lug. Shows wear consistent with its age.

Powering it is a manual-wind Venus 178, which was serviced in 2018 by CS Watch Repairs. Running beautifully at around -8 secs per day at 270+ degrees of amplitude, with the chrono starting, stopping and resetting as it should.

It’s mounted to an aftermarket leather with tang buckle.
