Unimatic U1-MY2 Mihara Yasuhiro

For those unfamiliar with Unimatic, they are an Italian-based micro brand making some of the best value and coolest dive watches in the market for under 3k. Great build quality, understated styling, and very clean design-language have made Unimatic a hit with both new and seasoned watch collectors and their releases usually sell out very quickly indeed.

Unimatic’s second collaboration with Mihara Yasu, the U1-MY2 is the Japanese street wear take on the U1. Featuring a minimalist matte white dial with luminous white markers, it's housed in the classic U1 41.5mm steel case. What really sets it apart is the treatment given to this case as it's been covered in white Cerakote that's been given a stonewashed treatment giving it an aged, worn look. Combined with the matte white dial, white bezel with no markers, and the white fabric strap it looks amazing on the wrist and is a perfect summer watch.

This piece was purchased new in 2020 and presents in TZ near mint condition. It's usually quite easy to grade a watch, but given the distressed nature of the coating from factory we can't be sure if it's identical to when it left the store, so we're calling it near-mint rather than mint. The strap is a little dirty as to be expected from white fabric.
