Tudor Submariner Small Rose 7016/0

Perhaps one of the most desirable regular production Tudor Subs that's been made, the 7016 features everything that is so amazing about vintage Subs, whether they be Rolex or Tudor. In addition to these classical Sub looks, proportions and historical significance, it also adds in some unmistakable Tudor design cues on the dial including the famous small rose and smiley text, something Tudor revisited recently with the first Black Bay Black ETA model which is now a very collectible piece in it's own right because of these these additions.

Add in a easily serviced movement and you've got everything that makes a Sub great, with added rarity, a more easily serviced movement, and some added design flair. The perfect Sub? Pretty close to it, in our opinion.

This particular piece is an amazing example, and presents in excellent vintage condition. The semi-PCG case is thick, sharp and features the factory chamfers.

Lugs are thick and even, with clear stamping between them for the model. Serial number is present and deeply etched, but shows rub marks on the top half from endlinks.

Hands show some slight tritium degradation. Lume plots are very full, showing a gorgeous and even patina. Hands are slightly different shade which is usual for these.

Bracelet is a US C&I non-stamp 7206 rivet with unstamped endlinks. Clasp code 69. 12 links.

Unknown service history, but winds smoothly and currently keeps time at around +3 seconds per day at 269 degrees of amplitude.

This is a truly spectacular example of a highly desirable and rare watch. Cases and dials in this condition just don't pop up often. Doesn't get much better.
