AnOrdain Model 2 Purple Enamel - 2019

If you've not heard of AnOrdain before then you've been missing out on one of the coolest micro brands to emerge in the last decade. Enamel dials are their thing, and they're very, very good at it.

As per the AnOrdain website:

Launched in 2019, the Model 2 is our take on the classic field watch, fusing a sense of the great outdoors with contemporary, elegant design.

With dial colours evoking the mysticism of the Scottish Highlands in both opaque and fumé enamel the Model 2 feels as at home on the summit of a Munro as at the office or dinner party. It’s a watch to wear all day, every day.

The case of the Model 2 is steel, and measures in at a classic field watch 36mm. Housed within this example is a spectacular vitreous enamel purple dial, otherwise referred to as a Grand Feu dial. Each dial is made in-house and takes about 12 hours to craft, and the result is absolutely spectacular, changing with the light and providing a texture not always seen in more staid enamel options from other brands. The dial is topped with syringe hands with luminous needles. It's powered by a Sellita SW-210 manual wind movement.

This particular example was purchased direct from AnOrdain in 2019 and presents in TZ Good condition. The case shows some signs of regular wear in the form of some scratches, small scuffs and swirlies, with some minor strap change marks on the rear of the lugs. Overall the case is in excellent condition, with it being downgraded to 'good' on our grading scale due to the presence of some very small pint dents around the bezel.
