Jaeger LeCoultre Polaris Chronograph 42mm Blue Dial Q9028180

Released in 2018, the modern Polaris collection from Jaeger LeCoultre is part of a 50th Anniversary series in tribute to the original Polaris pieces from the 60's. Amongst this new collection lies the piece we have here, which is the Chronograph, a complication never made available in the original, but one that no doubt suits the aesthetic of the Polaris range.

The stainless steel case measures in at 42mm across the case, 48.7mm lug to lug, while only being 12.1mm thick, very impressive for an automatic chornograph. Within it lies a striking blue dial with twin chronograph registers set within a granular circle surrounding the lumed applied indices, glossy centre section and metallic tachymetre scale making for a dial with depth and beauty in spades. The absence of a date window in combination with the JLC branding and 'Automatique' script make for a perfectly balanced dial.

Powering it is a buttery smooth 751H twin barrel automatic movement with vertical clutch and column wheel for the chronograph, while also being free sprung. It's mounted to a lovely steel JLC bracelet with integrated half link extensions in the buckle, and a broad 21mm between the lugs ensuring balance remains.

This particular piece was first sold in December 2018 and presents in TZ Good condition. Has been regularly worn and shows signs of use. Case shows some light scratching and scuff marks, though nothing deep. Rear of the lugs show some strap change marks Outer edge of the bezel shows some small dings, and bracelet shows desk diving marks throughout. Please see images for full condition details.

No service history. Winds beautifully, functions operate as they should, and keeping time at around +11 secs per day. Remains under manufacturers warranty until 2026.
