Jaeger LeCoultre Deep Sea Chronograph Q2068570

One of our coolest watches from our favourite era of JLC, the Deep Sea Chronograph is one of the original Tribute series of watches which helped kickstart some of the greatest and most desirable watch releases of the modern JLC era.

Utilising a stainless steel case measures in at 42mm across the case, 50mm lug-to-lug with a thickness of 14.5mm, with 100m of water resistance. Within this case lies a stunning matte black dial with an almost eggshell finish that looks amazing in direct light. It has a running seconds at 6, 12 hour counter at 9 and 30 minute counter at 3, along with our favourite feature of this watch, the chronograph running indicator just below 12. When the chronograph is inactive, this indicator shows solid white. Click the start pusher and it will change to half red/half white, and stop the chronograph and it will change to all red so you know exactly when the chronograph is running. Plus it just looks super cool, adds a pop of colour, and is a lot of fun to play with. It's all surrounded by a beautiful uni-directional bezel with aluminium insert for a proper vintage feel.

Powering it is the calibre 758 automatic movement with vertical clutch, column wheel, twin barrels and a 65 hour power reserve. It's mounted to the awesome JLC leather Tropic-style strap with simple JLC polished pin buckle.

This particular piece was first sold in Japan in 2016 and presents in TZ 'Good' condition. It is in overall lovely condition, showing only minor rub marks and hairlines on the case and case back. There are a few nicks and scratches on the lugs from strap changes, hence the 'Good' rather than 'Excellent' grading on our scale. The leather strap shows some wear in the from of minor flaking and cracking, which all of these textile/rubber look JLC straps of this era seem to show after time. Was serviced by JLC in Japan in 2018, and is keeping COSC time. All functions operating as they should.
