Grand Seiko Chronograph GMT SBGC001

The first ever Grand Seiko Chronograph, the SBGC001 is a feature packed tool watch with classic Grand Seiko design language and the supreme attention to detail the brand is renowned for.

It utilises the famed Spring Drive movement, here in the 9R86 variant. It features a GMT function, a 72 hour power reserve, and one of the most mesmerising chronograph seconds hands ever fitted to a watch.

This amazing movement is contained within a beautifully polished 43.5mm steel case, and features a silver dial with Zaratsu polished markers and power reserve indicator. Everything is amazingly finished as you’d expect of a Grand Seiko.

This particular example was sold new in 2017 and presents in TZ good condition. The case and bracelet shows signs of regular use in the form of some swirlies and hairline scratches, as well as some rub marks on the side of the case and some strap changing marks on the rear of the lugs. There are also some pin dents and small nicks present on the sides of the case, and along the bevel lines which bring the grading down from TZ ‘Excellent’ to TZ ‘Good’.
