A. Lange and Sohne Lange 1 Moonphase White Gold 192.029

If you like your Lange 1's with a little more to them than the time and date only references, but still with classic Lange 1 proportions, then the 192.029 should be a reference on your radar.

Featuring the classically sized 38.5mm Lange 1 case crafted in white gold case that's just 10.3mm thick, and 47mm lug-to-lug.  It features brushed finishing across it's flanks, sandwiched between the high polish bezel and faceted case back which does a wonderful job of removing visual mass form the side of the case. The notched lugs are the icing on the cake to what is a highly detailed and superbly executed case.

Within this case lies a stunning black galvanized sterling silver dial, with a moonphase and Day/Night indicator integrated into the sub-seconds register.  They've done a great job of integrating these complication in without spoiling the harmony of the Lange 1 dial, with the Day/Night indicator being particularly elegant with it's starry sky rotating around the sub-register in sync with the time, and the solid gold moon looking as though it floats above it. Lovely.

Atop this dial sits lumed hands, not a common sight on Lange 1's.

It is powered by the Lange Caliber L121.3 hand-winding mechanical movement with twin barrels and a 72 hour power reserve, with outstanding visual depth thanks to it's German Silver construction, gold chatons, and hand engraved balance cock.

It's finished off with the superb Lange 'gator strap, which features one of the nicest tang buckles in the business.

This particular example was first sold locally in 2019 and presents in TZ 'Good' condition. The polished surfaces show swirlies and hairlines typical of gold. There's a very light scrape on the bezel outboard of the 11 marker, and there's a few very small pin dents/nicks on the bezel between 1 and 2, and on the upper right lug which are the reason for the 'Good' rather than 'Excellent' grading according to the TZ scale. Lugs show some strap change marks. Brushed surfaces are very clean. Please see images for full details.

The Lange 'gator strap is in excellent condition, with an extra hole punched between the first and second factory holes. The tang buckle shows some minor desk dive marks.

No service history, but a little too new for that. Keeping COSC time, and all functions operating as they should.

A lovely example of one of the nicest current Lange 1 references.
