Chopard Alpine Eagle XL Chrono Blue 44mm 298609-3003
The Alpine Eagle series from Chopard is a modern interpretation of the St. Moritz originally launched in 1980, and this particular version is known as the XL Chrono and is amongst our very favourites in the expansive range of Alpine Eagles.
Featuring a 44mm case in lucent steel, and is 13.15mm thick with a lug-to-lug of 51.6mm and 100 metres water resistant. The case itself is beautifully finished, with a combination of brushed and polished surfaces with fine bevels, and some of the best integrated chrono pushers of any watch. It houses a phenomenal deeply grained blue dial, with an almost etched finish that creates depth and dynamism. The markers are applied and rhodium plated, while also being lumed, with a lovely Roman 12.
Powering it is the in-house 03.05-Ccalibre with hacking seconds, flyback column wheel chrono with vertical clutch, 60 hour power reserve all while being COSC certified. Finishing it off is a wonderfully supple blue rubber strap with a finely detailed pin buckle that is supremely comfortable on the wrist.
First sold locally in August 2023, it presents in TZ Near Mint condition. The case, bezel and buckle show barely any hints of wear, with only very minor swirls present. There is also an extra hole punched in the strap, and a specific image has been provided. Please see images for full condition details.
