IWC Big Pilot Le Petit Prince Edition IW500916
An absolute icon of the watch world, the Big Pilot needs little introduction. The version we have here is the updated IW500916, which was released in 2016 and has some important changes over its predecessor. Firstly, it's dial is more reminiscent of the original Big Pilot, with its triangular 12 o'clock index now moving back below the minute track, and the 9 now appearing on the dial, both of which create a more harmonious and balanced look compared to its predecessor.
This particular Le Petit Prince version is a personal favourite of this revised lineup, and features the most amazing shade of blue for the dial. Combined with the 46mm Big Pilot brushed case with lovely high-polish bevels, a beautiful Santoni strap with steel deployant, and powered by the Cal. 5111 7 day movement, it's one of the truly great Pilot's watches.
Originally purchased in 2017, this example presents in TZ Near Mint condition. The case shows some very minor rub marks, and a few hairlines, but that's about it. Please see images for full condition details.
Strap is original, and has plenty of life left. Shows some minor cracking around some of the holes.
No service history. Keeping time at around +20 secs a day, measured at multiple points within its power reserve.
Comes with inner box, warranty card (expired), warranty book, instruction manual, IWC cleaning cloth and Watch Vault cleaning cloth.
