IWC Ingenieur Silver Dial IW323904 IW3239-04
Released in 2013, the 3239 is perhaps our favourite Ingenieur series. With it’s sensible 40mm diameter, and measuring just 9.9mm thick, it’s a magnificent example of Genta design cues and reminds us a lot of one of the all-time great Ingys, the 3227.
Within that 40mm steel case lies a gorgeous and, at first glance, seemingly simple white/silver dial. But upon closer inspection you see the multiple levels to it, the first being the outer minute track, then the minute track with applied indices, and finally the central portion of the dial with centre seconds, with all occupying different level to create a brilliant feeling of depth.
That case is absolutely stunning, and clearly of Genta-lineage, while also having a character all of its own. The integrated bracelet is super-comfy, very well finished, and features IWC’s brilliant link adjustment system.
A number of these pieces were made available for sale in 2022, and this is one of them. Sold new locally in 2022, it presents in TZ 'Good' condition. Overall presentation is excellent, with some minor rub marks and light scratches present. There's a scrape on the bezel near 7 which is the reason for the 'Good' rather than 'Excellent' grading. Bracelet shows minor desk dive marks, and enough links to fit roughly a 7.3in wrist.
No service history, far too new for that. Currently keeping COSC time. All functions operating as they should, and remains under manufacturers warranty until 2030.

An absolute bargain compared with the current reference, in a nicer piece in our opinion.
