IWC Pilot’s Watch Mark XV IW3253-01
A personal favourite of the neo-vintage pieces from IWC, the Mark XV bridges the gap between vintage and modern IWC Pilot's watches, and is the best of both worlds in our opinion.
The stainless steel case measures in 38mm, while being just a touch over 10mm thick, and features a satin finish for the total tool watch look, and this example still retains it's iconic fish-logo crown which is correct for this reference. It houses a Luminova matte black dial with classic IWC Pilot aesthetics, and is topped with its original luminova hands.
Powering it is a high-grade modified ETA 2892-A2, known as the IWC calibre 37524 in this application, for maximum reliability and serviceability.
It is mounted to an IWC leather strap with magnificent steel IWC deployant, with the old-school sandblasted IWC logo within the fold of the claps - very cool.
This particular piece would date from the early 2000's and presents in excellent neo-vintage condition. The case is very clean, with some very small rub marks and hairlines present, as well as some minor nicks along the bevel lines. Caseback shows some light scratching, and still had it's original sticker in place prior to the recent service. Hands show some corrosion, which is typical of these if hands remain original. Serviced by an independent service centre in Melbourne in September 2024, it's keeping COSC time and all functions operating as they should. Remains under the balance of the their 1 year warranty.
