Patek Philippe Gondolo White Gold 8 Day 5200G-010 

The 5200G-010 was made from 2013-2018, giving it quite a short production run by modern standards, and thus a fairly rare piece to happen across. 

Measuring in at 46.4mm lug to lug, 32.3mm wide, and just 10.4mm high, it's wonderfully proportioned and with it's curved case contours to the wrist, allowing it both visual impact, and perfect wearability. The case itself is white gold, and features a lovely Art Deco design with a stepped case and large recessed crown for easy winding and maximum comfort. Perhaps our favourite design cue is the wonderful beveled box sapphire crystal, showing an attention to detail expected and welcomed from one of the top watch manufacturers in the world.

The dial is a masterclass in legibility and thoughtfulness, with a white base topped with dagger-style white gold markers that have been blackened, faceted and polished, and is topped with matching hands. At 6 you have a radial date complication, within which sits running seconds, and a day complication. This is balanced by the 8-day power reserve indicator at 12.

Flip it over, and you're greeted with a clean-sheet movement that is properly sized for the case, something we always love to see but rarely do. The calibre 28-20 REC 8J PS IRM C J is stunning to behold with classic finger bridges, black polished screws, exquisitely hand finished bevels, sunken jewels and beautifully executed Geneva stripes. It's a technical force too, with it's twin main spring barrels allowing for an 8 day power reserve, free sprung balance, and silicone hairspring.

This particular example was first sold in 2021 and presents in TZ Excellent condition. The dial is perfect, with the case showing the usual hairlines and hazing you get with gold pieces. Minor scrape between the lugs on the rear of the case at the 12 o'clock side. No deep scratches or dents are present. Please see images for full condition details.

It's mounted to it's OEM Patek 'gator strap in a short length that is in fantastic condition, and finished with a white gold Patek tang buckle.

Regulated by Patek in 2023. All functions operating as they should, and keeping time between +4 and +7 tested at multiple points within it's power reserve.
