Serica 5503

Serica is a reasonably new entry into the world of micro-brands, but has made quite an impact in a few short years. Their initial releases was the lovely 4512, a field watch with thoughtful designs, great proportions and a very reasonable price tag. For their follow up piece, they decided to step into the world of dive watches and created the wonderful 5503 series, which is what we have here today.

Featuring a very nicely detailed and perfectly sized 39mm case in steel, it houses a stunning silver pad-printed dial with large C3 Luminova plots, large luminous hands, and is surrounded by the most amazing bezel with a split insert, half in ceramic and the other in brushed steel. It's topped off with a large screw-down crown, a wonderful mesh bracelet, and is powered by a Soprod automatic movement. It makes for a striking dive watch, that's also super practical and feels solid as a rock.

First delivered in September 2022, it remains in TZ Near Mint condition with no real signs of wear other than perhaps the very lightest of swirl marks, and some desk diving marks on the bracelet. Please see images for full condition details.

Currently mounted to an Uncle Seiko flat link bracelet, and also includes the original mesh from Serica.
