Tudor Submariner 7021/0 Snowflake
Perhaps one of the finest Tudor Subs of them all, the 7021/0 combines everything we love about vintage Tudors into one package. The 39mm Oyster case houses a meters-first matte dial with tritium markers, date, and the iconic snowflake hands, topped with a ghost bezel and tritium pip, all aged to perfection.
This particular example dates to around 1970 and presents in excellent vintage condition. Case is extremely thick, with chamfers in place and has had only a very mild clean up. Numbers between the lugs are clear, and has a 6 digit serial. Case back shows an engraving.
Dial has a beautiful patina with bubbling present as is typical on 9411's and 7021's. These dials are often replaced with service dials, so great to see an original dial with such a cool patina. Tritium plots are full, with a darker patina between 2 and 8, likely due to some moisture at some point. Hands are tritium, and have aged at a similar rate to the 9-1 markers. Hour and second hands looks to have perhaps had stabilisation/repair as the texture is different and they're a touch darker than the minute hand. Minute hands show some cracking in the tritium. Original roulette date wheel in place. Plots and hands no longer glow under UV.
The bezel is the star of the show, with an amazing ghost patina and tritium plot still in place. Does not turn freely all the way around, so perhaps needs a clean underneath.
Have just fitted a new Tudor 78500 bracelet with one 580 and one 380B endlink. These are ostensibly the same, just one is Tudor and the other Rolex. Comes with 9 links, so will suit roughly a 7.6in wrist or smaller.
Serviced by a well regarded independent here in Oz. Keeping COSC time, date changes as it should, and winds very smoothly.

This is a phenomenal example of the highly desirable and collectible Blue Snowflake. They don't come much better.
