Zenith DEFY El Primero 21 Chronograph 44mm 95.9000.9004/78.M9000
Zenith have been knocking it out of the park ever since the release of the Striking Tenth chronograph in 2010, and have continued to evolve the product culminating in the Defy line you see here.
Featuring a highly modernised version of the renowned El Primero movement, it's a technical marvel. It features two independent high-frequency escapements beating at 50Hz for the 1/100th of a second chronograph and 5Hz for timekeeping, with independent power reserves, meaning you can run the chronograph even when the power reserve is depleted for timekeeping. Pretty cool.
It's housed in a 44mm titanium case with satin and polished finishes, and is super light on the wrist. The heavily skeletonised dial features applied and lumed markers, with an exposed balance with silicone escapement visible for the timekeeping at 8. Combined with the magnificent grade 5 titanium bracelet, it's a highly technical, super comfortable, and deeply impressive watch.
Sold new locally in December 2023, this particular example presents in TZ 'Near Mint' condition. The case is very clean, with only a few very light marks present. Please see images for full condition details.
The bracelet includes all links, and shows some very small desk dive marks near the clasp.
All functions operating as they should, with lots of manufacturers warranty still remaining.
