Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 15400 15400ST.OO.1220ST.01

Here we have one of the coolest AP’s this side of a 15202, the Royal Oak 15400.

The 15400 is the successor to the wonderful 15300, and carries across much of the same aesthetic but in a larger 41mm case. The grand-tapisserie dial in black is spectacular in person, the bracelet simply one of the best on any watch at any price point, and the iconic Genta-designed case comes in at under 10mm thick. It’s perfectly proportioned case, dial and bracelet work in harmony to create the ultimate luxury sports watch.

This particular example was first sold in 2016, and presents in TZ Good condition. The black dial is perfect, the case remains unpolished. The watch was worn infrequently by the last owner, and thus presents beautifully. The bezel shows some very light marks, and there's a couple of 'flea bites' on the very edge of the bezel which is the reason for the 'Good' rather than 'Near Mint' grading according to the TZ scale. But to most peoples minds, this would be a near-mint watch. The case itself shows only very light hairlines, and the case sides are unmarked.

The bracelet shows some desk diving marks, but these are minor. It's fully linked.

All marks could all easily be taken care of with a polish from AP, but we’d usually wait to do that when a service is due and wear it without fear of putting marks on a pristine piece up until that point in time. Please see images for full condition details.
