Breguet La Tradition 7027BB/11/9V6

Originally launched in 2005, the La Tradition series is the embodiment of modern Breguet. The fusion of classic Breguet design cues, very high levels of hand finishing and craft work on the case, and modern quality has created a watch that is a pure celebration of mechanical watchmaking.

Utilising a white gold case measuring in at 37mm in diameter, 11.9mm thick and 45.4mm lug-to-lug, it tends to wear a little larger than that due to the straight lugs and slightly wider bezel which is closer to 38mm in diameter. The case itself is handmade with cold rolled coin edge detailing on the flanks, which are hand finished. The lugs are welded to the case, like is done with Lange and high end JLC. Within this lovely case lies an in-house movement which forms the majority of the dial. The finishing is superb, with satinised wheels, frosted bridges, wide mirrored anglage, wonderfully executed interior angles and black polish abound. The dial itself is made of solid gold, with a rose-engined guilloche with Roman numerals and classic Breguet hands.

Finishing it off is a lovely aftermarket short Fluco Cordovan strap in a rich blue, with OEM Breguet tang buckle in white gold.

This particular piece was first purchased in 2021 and presents in TZ Good condition. The case has some marks from regular use, with light scratching and small scuffs. Some minor pin dents on the sides of the lugs, and a few small dings/nicks on the case sides are the reason for the 'Good' rather than 'Excellent' grading on the TZ scale. No service history, far too new for that. Currently keeping COSC time and all operations functioning as they should.

A wonderful example of one of Breguet's coolest modern pieces, at a very steep discount to current equivalent RRP's.
