Grand Seiko Heritage Hi-Beat Autumn Limited Edition SBGH269
Released in 2019, the SBGH269 features a gorgeous deep red dial, created to evoke the gradiation change within the leaves of the forests in the mountaineous regions of Japan, which is also often reflected in the lacquered wooden floors of traditional Japanese architecture. While the latter may seem quite niche, the colours of leaves turning an autumnal red is one of life's great beauties, and this dial does a magnificent job of capturing that.
Atop this dial sits a gilt GS logo, and typically sharp and supremely finished Dauphine hands and applied markers in steel, and a gold seconds hand to match the gilt minute track which ties in wonderfully with the deep red of the dial.
The case itself is a very compact 39.5mm x 47.5mm x 13mm in steel, with broad polished facets across the lugs, and thin brushed mid-case. Powering it is the excellent 9S85 Hi-Beat calibre with 55 hour power reserve. Finishing it off is the lovely GS bracelet, and when combined with it's 100m of water resistance it's the perfect daily companion.
This particular example was sold new locally in 2019 and presents in TZ Good condition. The case shows only very minor signs of any use, with light swirlies present, and some minor hairlines on the polished surfaces. The brushed sides show a few very light marks, and a small pin dent on the lower left side, and another on the upper right side. These are the reason for the 'Good' rather than 'Near Mint' grading on the TZ scale, but that really is nit picking. Please see images for full condition details.
The bracelet includes all links, and shows minor desk dive marks across a few links.
