Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust Steel/Gold 36mm 16014 Collectors Set

Here we have one of our favourite Datejusts, the magnificent 16014 on Jubilee with black dial dating from 1984. An absolute icon of the watch world, and the perfect Datejust spec in our opinion.

Featuring a classic 36mm steel case with white gold bezel, steel Jubilee bracelet, black tritium dial with gorgeous applied markers, and is powered by the venerable 3035 movement with the addition of a quick set date making it far more practical than its predecessor. It makes for a versatile and elegant piece, and one it that is now starting to become extremely popular with collectors and those wanting to take their first steps into the world of vintage Rolex.

This particular example dates from 1983 (sold in '84), and has just come back from an RSC service so presents spectacularly. Original dial is flawless, with all tritium plots in place. Hands are genuine service replacement lumed items. Plexiglass is brand new and unmarked. Correct date wheel with open 6's and 9's.

Original case has been refinished by Rolex, will all of the correct finishes in place, with thick and even lugs. Numbers clearly visible between the lugs. See images for full condition details.

Bracelet is a 62510H with 555 endlinks and contains 17 links with 3 spares. Date code is H12, dating it to 1983. Minor stretch for its age.

Running beautifully as to be expected after its Rolex service in March 2022, and under Rolex's service warranty.

Comes as a very full set, and includes outer box, inner box, hang tags with matching serial number, original papers dated 1984, RSC service card, RSC service receipt, booklet holder, service receipt from 2005, Oyster booklet, 3 spare links to complete the bracelet and a Watch Vault cleaning cloth. Collectors sets don't come much more full than this. Please note that the invoice from Rolex states a new Jubilee bracelet. This is not the bracelet on the watch, this was purchased as an additional spare not included within the sale.

This is one of the nicest DJ's we've seen, and if you're after a collectors set with the rarer black dial and just back from service, then it's pretty hard to go past this.
