Rolex Sea-Dweller 43 'SD43' MK1 126600

Released to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Sea-Dweller, the SD43 features 'Sea-Dweller' in red on the dial as a nod to the original 1665 with it's two lines of red text, affectionately known to collectors as the Double Red Sea-Dweller, or DRSD.

It features a 43mm case in 904L Oystersteel, housing a gloss black dial with Sea-Dweller printed in red for a welcome pop of colour over a Sub, applied markers in white gold and is heavily lumed with Rolex's superb Chromalight. It's surrounded by a 60-minute dive bezel with the finest action you'll ever experience, and it's powered by the superb Calibre 3235 with 70 hours of power reserve and Rolex's famed accuracy, toughness and durability. Finishing it off is an all-brushed Oyster bracelet with the brilliant Glidelock system, allowing for on-the-fly sizing adjustment.

This particular watch is what is known as the Mk1 in collectors circles, which was only in production for the first year of the 126600. Not dissimilar to a 'Flat 4' when it comes to the 16610LV, this is considered the actual anniversary piece, and is distinguished by the lack of Coronet between 'Swiss Made' at the base of the dial and a sans-seif font for the meters. Small changes, but small differentiators are important in Rolex circles.

This piece was first delivered in 2017 and presents in TZ 'Good' condition. Has been worn regularly, and case shows swilries, light scuffs and scratches throughout. It also shows some very small nicks on the bevel lines which is the reason for the 'Good' rather than 'Excellent' grading according to the TZ scale. Case back shows rub marks from being rested on its bracelet. Crystal has a small scratch on the cyclops. Please see images for full condition details.
