Tag rocked the Swiss industry in 2016 with the introduction of the worlds most affordable Swiss Tourbillon Chronograph, allowing access to what was once a complication only for the super rich to be far more accessible to everyday watch enthusiasts. And what a job they've done on it.
Based around the Heuer 01, the Heuer 02T features a 45mm case made from PVD-coated grade-5 titanium, and topped with a ceramic bezel. Within lies a blacked-out skeletonized dial with applied markers, lumed hands, 12 hour sub-register, 30 minute sub-register and lightweight flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock.
Powering it is the in-house HEUER02T movement with black finishing applied to the column wheel, chronograph bridges, and open-worked rotor and bridges to keep the 'Phantom' theme going.
Finishing it off is a hybrid Alligator and Rubber strap with Tag deployant in PVD-coated Titanium which is exceptionally comfortable.
This particular piece was first sold in 2016 and presents in TZ 'Near Mint' condition. The case is extremely clean, with some minor surface scratches present, and some light marks on the edges of the lugs, but that's about it. Please inspect the photos for full condition details.
The strap is in excellent condition, as is the buckle.
Has just been serviced by TAG Heuer in July 2024, and remains under TAG service warranty. Currently keeping time at around +12 seconds a day.
Comes with outer box, inner box, instruction booklet, warranty card (expired), COSC card, Chronometer booklet, guarantee booklet and a photocopy of the service receipt.
RRP on these was $32,700 AUD, so grab yourself a bargain for a very cool sports piece with an amazing set of complications.
