The Black Bay Red was the very first Black Bay released, and in this 79230R it built on the original with the addition of an in-house, COSC certified movement. The combination of vintage aesthetics and modern practicality make for an extremely versatile piece that could easily be a one-watch collection.
This particular 79230R is not your average Black Bay Red, though. This piece is known as the State of Qatar, and was available only in its home country in limited batches. Already quite a collectible piece, and surely to be one of the most sought after Black Bays in years to come, you don’t need to have a link to Qatar to appreciate the value in this piece.
First purchased in Feb 2019, it presents in TZ Good condition. The case, bracelet and clasp feature a few hairlines and small marks, the side of the case shows some pin dents, and some small nicks/scrapes on the bevels. Please see images for full condition details.
